Melbourne Cable Park offers numerous activities for secondary, primary and early childhood school groups. Students are encouraged to participate in all of the Parks activities including the Aqua Fun Park, Cable Wake boarding and Knee boarding and the soon to be constructed Aerial Obstacle Course. Students are encouraged to be active whilst developing many varied skills at the park. The Australian Physical Activity Guidelines state that:
AQUA FUN PARK CABLE WAKE BOARDING/ KNEE BOARDING CLIMB – URBAN HIGH ROPES  
o   50-minute session on the water o   Cost:  $20.00 pp o   Teachers tickets provide FOC o   All participants must have waiver completed before ticket will be issued o   All participants must have basic swimming ability o   All participants are required to wear a lifejacket o   All participants are required to attend the Safety Briefing before entering the water o   Identical Run ways for challenging races o   Team building activities o   Individual and Team challenges on the water to improve coordination skills o   Large slide to climb up to improve muscular strength and coordination o   Numerous obstacles to improve balance o   Relays or other organised activities can be arranged by our staff on request. This will be an additional $100.00. o   1.5-hour session o   Cost:  $39 pp o   Teachers tickets provided FOC o   Wetsuit rental cost will be waived for school groups (Normally $10pp) o   All participants must have waiver completed before ticket will be issued o   All participants must have basic swimming ability o   All equipment is included in the price (lifejacket + standard wakeboard or kneeboard + helmet) o   A more “advanced board” can be rented at an additional cost of $20.00 (experienced riders only) o   Coaching will be given by our Cable Operator or Deck hand for Beginners o   Beginner Lake – “2 Tower System” to enable one on one coaching may be available on request  1-hour session o   Cost:  $20 pp o   All participants must have waiver completed before ticket issued o   This includes harness +helmet(?) o   Students must wear comfortable clothing (no singlet tops or short shorts); hair must be tied back; suitable shoes for walking/ climbing on obstacles) o   OEA (Outdoor Education Australia) believes that ALL Australian children and Australian society benefit immensely from outdoor experiences. o   “It is important that children are introduced to the outdoors from a young age and as children’s abilities grow so to do the opportunities and learnings possible.”
          Minimum Staff – Student Ratios Ropes courses Low Ropes 2 staff: 1 – 24 3 staff: 25 – 36 High Ropes 2 staff: 1 – 12 3 staff: 13 – 18 Additional Information: To Confirm Your Booking:
  1. To confirm your booking including the date and time a of your activity, an invoice will be issued for 50% of your agreed numbers.
  2. 7 days prior to your activity, numbers of participants must be confirmed and the balance is paid in full.
  3. All activities proceed in any weather with an exception of electrical storm, high winds and any other weather or other event that Melbourne Cable Park Management deem to be unsafe.

Cable

  • 1.5-hour cable wakeboarding or kneeboarding session.
  • Coaching provided for beginners.
  • Beginner Lake – 2 Tower System – for one-on-one coaching may be available on request.

  • Melbourne Cable Park activity coordinator – $100.00 per session.

Aqua Fun Park Features

  • Variety of obstacles to build strength, balance and coordination.
  • Slides, ladders, trampoline and barrel of doom.
  • Identical runways for relays and races.
  • We can organise individual and team challenges on the water.

What’s Required? 

  • All participants require a waiver – parents or guardians should sign for under 18s
  • All participants must be able to swim.
  • All participants must wear the lifejacket supplied.
  • All participants must attend the safety briefing before entering the water.

Climb Melbourne
Urban High Ropes

  • 1-hour session.
  • Cost –  $20 per person
    (weekdays only, excluding school and public holidays)

Urban High Ropes Features

  • High-ropes activity with 5 levels of adventure!
  • Fun, challenging, outdoor course.
  • Over 110 graded elements: slack wire, ride the bike, ring the bell.
  • Kids’ Climb (ground-level) course for ages 5 to 9 years (approx).

What’s Required? 

  • All participants require a waiver – parents or guardians should sign for under 18s
  • Kids’ Climb suitable for kids measuring 1m to 140cm tall.
  • Urban high-ropes suitable for kids measuring 125cm to 140cm (with an adult). Kids over 140cm may climb unaccompanied.
  • All climbers must wear a harness and attend the safety briefing.
  • Please wear closed-toe shoes (runners) and comfortable clothing.
